Summary
"The Children's Castle was founded by its current directors, Janis Ridgley and Jana Parenteau. As educators who had previously worked together in the early childhood field, we realized that we shared the same vision, philosophy, and desire to create a very special preschool for children. In June of 1984, our dream came true, The Children's Castle was born. The Castle has earned an outstanding reputation as a high quality, educational childcare center with exceptional teachers. In 1986, The Children's Castle had the distinction of being the first center in New England to be awarded accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. We are proud to have continuously maintained our national accreditation since that time. The Children's Castle is fortunate to have a dedicated staff and wonderful, supportive parents who work together to make the Castle a very special place for children. We would like to thank the parent council group, cookbook committee, our parents, families, friends and staff whose recipes have made this cookbook possible. Thank you for purchasing this cookbook. We hope you will enjoy it for years to come!" - letter from Jana Parenteau and Janis RidgleyContains an appendix of 16 pages as a reference guide to setting up a table, serving guests, bringing elegance to a table setting with napkin folding, bread making, vegetarian options, pasta information, coffee basics, microwave cooking basics, a guide to weights, measure and metric, cheese guide, recommended storage for dry goods, understanding labels, and quick recycling tips
