Summary
This publication, may be the first of its kind and consists of the meeting minutes of the Amesbury & Salisbury Anti-Slavery Society and includes copies of some of its original pages. It lists the names of local people who met regularly at the Baptist Church to stop slavery. An alphabetical list of members' names and an index were done for the purpose of genealogical and historical research. The original book is a part of the collection at the home of the Quaker poet and abolitionist, John Greenleaf Whittier in Amesbury, Massachusetts
