This MSS collection consists of an account book, containing the names of patients, dates of visits, and amount owed (1856-1868) -- a small notebook listing symtoms and diseases, with apothecary recipes in back -- letters from patients to Dr. Perkins re: "fits" (1870-1871) -- notes on fermentation and bacteria, n.d. -- three essays written by Dr. Perkins on "Whether the promise of reward for the performance of an unlawful act be obligatory?" -- "Whether the parallel motions of the eyes be an acquired faculty properly?" -- "Whether God's right to govern the world can be determined from his irresistible power?", n.d. -- memorial program, "In Memory of Henry Coit Perkins, " 1873 -- and a record book with copied letters to family and colleagues of H.
