This guide offers a step-by-step instruction on how to research houses using print, microfilm and online resources provided by the Newburyport Public Library Archival Center. Second half of the text contains the 2012 edition of the guide that provides detailed lists of available resources used to reseach homes and maps that are housed in the Archival Center in addition to resources located at the Historical Society of Old Newbury, the Phillips Library, Historic New England, New England Historical and Genealogical Society and the Church of Latter Day Saints Family History Centers. Included in the guide is a timeline of the annexation of Newburyport in 1851 and the renumbering of streets in the city, a timeline of homes being moved or torn down, and a list of additional books on the subject
